Playing as a Crewmate
If you are selected as a Crewmate, your primary goal is survival and task completion. You win the game by either completing all the assigned maintenance tasks around the map (like wiring panels, swiping administrative cards, or taking out the trash) or by correctly voting all the Impostors off the ship.
- Stay Vigilant: Impostors look exactly like Crewmates. Watch how other players move. Are they standing near a task without the task bar progressing? They might be faking it.
- Fix Sabotages: When alarms go off indicating a sabotage (such as oxygen depletion or reactor meltdown), drop everything and run to fix it. If the timer hits zero, the Impostors win instantly.
- Report Bodies: If you find a defeated Crewmate, click the "Report" button immediately. This halts gameplay and initiates an Emergency Meeting where all surviving players discuss who the killer might be.
Playing as an Impostor
As an Impostor, your job is to deceive, divide, and conquer. You win when the number of remaining Crewmates is equal to the number of Impostors.
- Venting: Only Impostors can use the vents located across the map. Use these to swiftly move between rooms after securing an elimination. Make sure no one sees you jump in or out!
- Sabotage: You can open a master map to trigger critical system failures. Turning off the lights (O2/Electrical) severely reduces the Crewmates' field of vision, making it the perfect time to strike.
- Fake Tasks: Stand near task panels to blend in, but be careful—experienced players will notice if the overall progress bar doesn't move when you step away.
Emergency Meetings and Voting
When a body is reported or someone hits the Emergency Button in the cafeteria, everyone must communicate via the chat box. This is where the true psychological warfare happens. Crewmates must share information, verify alibis ("I was in MedBay doing a scan"), and piece together the timeline. Impostors must lie flawlessly and cast suspicion on innocent players to avoid getting ejected into the cold vacuum of space.
