About Age of War Unblocked

Experience the flash game that defined a generation! Age of War is the original 2007 base defense strategy game developed by Louissi. Your mission is simple but incredibly addictive: train an army to march across a 2D battlefield and destroy the enemy's headquarters before they can destroy yours.

Game Mechanics: Gold, EXP, and Evolution

Unlike standard real-time strategy games that require complex resource gathering, Age of War streamlines the action. Every time you or your turrets kill an enemy unit, you automatically earn Gold and Experience Points (EXP).

  • Gold: Spend gold to queue up units to spawn from your base, or to mount automated defensive turrets onto your headquarters.
  • Experience (EXP): Used strictly to evolve your civilization. Once your EXP bar is full, click the star icon to advance your entire army to the next historical era, instantly gaining access to more powerful units and heavily damaging turrets.

The 5 Eras of Combat

The defining feature of Age of War is the evolutionary tech tree. You must progress through 5 distinct eras. If you fall behind the enemy AI in evolution, their advanced units will easily crush your outdated troops.

  1. The Stone Age: The starting era. Recruit club-wielding cavemen and crude dinosaur riders. Defend your rock cave with a primitive slingshot turret.
  2. The Castle Age: Medieval warfare. Deploy heavily armored knights, archers, and establish a stone catapult on your fortress walls.
  3. The Renaissance Age: The introduction of gunpowder. Send out dual-wielding swordsmen and early musketeers while firing cannons from your base.
  4. The Modern Age: 20th-century warfare. Train standard infantry troops and deploy massive battle tanks to roll over the enemy lines.
  5. The Future Age: The final evolution. Spawn heavily shielded super-soldiers and devastating plasma-firing hover tanks to secure the ultimate victory.

How to Win (Impossible Difficulty Strategy)

Playing on Normal or Hard is relatively straightforward, but Impossible difficulty requires abusing the game's mechanics. The AI generates gold much faster than you do, meaning you cannot win a war of attrition on the battlefield.

The "Turret Stall" strategy is required: Do not spend money on offensive troops. Instead, only buy the absolute cheapest melee unit available just to stall the enemy army immediately outside your base. While the enemy is stalled, allow your base turrets to kill them. This starves the enemy offensive while maximizing your gold and EXP efficiency. Once you safely reach the Future Age and have saved massive amounts of gold, spam "Super Soldiers" to overwhelm the enemy base in one massive push.

Additionally, do not forget your Special Attack. Located in the top right menu, this powerful spell (like the fiery meteor shower) operates on a cooldown and affects the entire screen. Save it for emergencies when enemy units are actively attacking your base structure.
