About Age of War 2 Unblocked

Command your civilization in Age of War 2, the highly-anticipated sequel to the legendary flash-era strategy game. This title elevates the classic "base defense" formula by introducing 7 massive historical eras, wildly distinct faction warfare, and deep skill trees. Your objective is simple: defend your own headquarters from unrelenting enemy spawns while simultaneously leading an assault across the battlefield to destroy the enemy's base.

How to Play: Resources and Evolution

The core gameplay loop centers around managing two critical resources: Gold and Experience Points (EXP). Both are earned by slaying enemy units on the battlefield.

  • Gold: Used exclusively to recruit new melee and ranged units from your base, and to build persistent defensive turrets to guard your headquarters.
  • EXP (Experience): Used to unlock powerful passive upgrades in the skill tree (such as increased unit health or gold generation) and, most importantly, to Evolve your civilization.

When you gather enough EXP, you can hit the "Evolve" button at the top of the UI. This advances your entire civilization to the next historical era. Evolving is absolutely crucial: if the enemy AI evolves into the "Modern Age" (using guns and tanks) while you are stuck in the "Medieval Age" (using swords and bows), you will be completely overwhelmed by their superior stats.

The 7 Ages of Warfare

As the match progresses, you will battle from the dawn of humanity directly into the sci-fi future. The eras include:

  1. The Stone Age: Cavemen wielding clubs, slingshots, and riding dinosaurs. Very low stats.
  2. The Spartan Age: Heavily armored hoplites, javelin throwers, and classical Greek warfare.
  3. The Egyptian Age: Anubis warriors, chariot archers, and mystical desert units.
  4. The Medieval Age: Knights, crossbowmen, and devastating catapults.
  5. The Renaissance Age: Musketeers, the first primitive cannons, and dual-wielding duelists.
  6. The Modern Age: Infantry soldiers, medics, heavily armored tanks, and assault troops.
  7. The Future Age: Advanced cybernetic soldiers, laser weaponry, plasma tanks, and flying sci-fi units!

Combat Strategy & Special Attacks

Winning on "Insane" difficulty requires patience and wave management. The fundamental strategy is to place a heavy, high-HP "tank" unit in the front (like a Spartan Hoplite or a Modern Tank) to absorb damage, while spawning 2-3 cheaper ranged units behind them (like archers or riflemen) to safely deal damage from a distance.

Turrets are king in the early game. Before rushing the enemy base with hundreds of troops, invest your gold in building a turret. A single well-upgraded turret can hold off entire armies on its own, allowing you to stockpile your gold and EXP for vital evolutions.

If you get overwhelmed and enemy units stack up right outside your base, use your Special Attack. It costs a lot of mana, but it clears the entire screen. For example, the Stone Age calls down massive fiery meteorites, while the Modern Age summons a lethal carpet-bombing airstrike.

Game FAQ

What are the different ages in Age of War 2?

The game features 7 distinct evolutionary stages: The Stone Age (cavemen with clubs/slingshots), the Spartan Age, the Egyptian Age, the Medieval Age, the Renaissance Age, the Modern Age, and the Future Age. You must accumulate enough EXP by killing enemies to evolve to the next era.

How do you use Special Attacks?

In the upper-right corner of the screen, you will see a "Special Attack" button that charges up over time and costs a significant amount of mana. Each Age has a unique special attack that essentially wipes out all enemy units on the screen, useful for when you are overwhelmed.

Should I buy units or turrets?

Focus on a balance. Melee units block advancing enemies and ranged units fire from behind them. However, early on, investing in a powerful turret is highly recommended as it provides persistent defense without draining your ongoing gold reserves, allowing you to stockpile resources for an evolution.

How long does it take to beat Age of War 2?

On standard (Normal) difficulty, an average playthrough takes around 20 to 30 minutes. Beating the game on "Insane" difficulty requires a much slower, highly defensive playstyle and can take significantly longer.
