Mastering the Waterslide Physics
Unlike traditional driving games, racing on water means carrying massive amounts of momentum with very little friction. Your character moves forward automatically, propelled by rushing water and gravity. The core challenge lies in steering (using the A/D keys or Left/Right arrows).
When you enter a sharp turn, centrifugal force will push your tube high up the wall of the slide. If the curve is too sharp, or if you are carrying too much speed on an open-topped section, you risk flying over the edge entirely! Learning to manage your momentum by steering smoothly into corners is the key to surviving the later, more chaotic levels.
Aggressive Racing and Bumping
You aren't alone in the park. Every level pits you against a crowd of competitive AI opponents determined to cross the finish line first. Aqua Thrills rewards aggressive racing tactics.
- Drafting and Passing: Stay tight to the inside of corners to execute perfect racing lines and overtake opponents on the apex of the turn.
- Bumping: There are no referees on this slide. If you approach another racer while carrying more speed, you can steer directly into them to bump them. A well-placed bump on the edge of a half-pipe section will knock them out of bounds, eliminating them from the race!
- Strategic Gliding: Some sections of the slide feature massive jumps. While falling through the air, you can use your directional keys to glide slightly. Skilled racers use these jumps to cut corners entirely, landing further down the track to secure a massive lead.
Upgrades and Customization
Scattered generously across the optimal racing lines are floating gold coins. In addition to securing 1st place, your secondary objective in every heat is to collect as much currency as possible.
Between races, you can visit the in-game shop to spend your earnings. Aqua Thrills offers a satisfying progression system. You can purchase cosmetic overrides, trading your standard yellow tube for flamingos, donuts, and sci-fi hover rings. More importantly, you can purchase base stat upgrades that permanently increase your top speed, acceleration, and handling grip, which become strictly necessary as the difficulty ramps up.

How do you control your character in Aqua Thrills?
The controls are very simple. Your character moves forward automatically down the waterslide. You simply use the Left and Right Arrow keys, or the 'A' and 'D' keys to steer your tube left and right.
How do you beat the opponents?
You can either out-steer them by taking tighter racing lines on the inside corners of the slide, or you can play aggressively. If you steer directly into an opponent while carrying more momentum, you can bump them entirely off the waterslide!
What happens if I fly off the slide?
Flying off the edge of an open tube is an automatic game over. However, skilled players can intentionally launch themselves off jumps and land further down the track to skip sections entirely.
What are the coins used for?
Coins collected during the race can be spent in the main menu to unlock new avatars, entirely new inner-tubes, and stat upgrades that improve your top speed and handling.
